According to the American Cancer Society, Prostate cancer is the second leading cause
of cancer death in American men, behind lung cancer – a staggering statistic.
Would you like to be a part of something fun and beneficial for your community this November? Each year we challenge community organizations, businesses and individuals to support men’s health. CentraState’s ‘Mo for November’ Challenge is designed to raise awareness and funding for men’s health issues in our own community. All men are encouraged to participate – you can do so individually or set up a team with your friends, family or co-workers.
Participants are encouraged to grow their facial hair starting on November 1 and continue to the end of the month, sending us updates and photos along the way. While there is no prize for the person who grows the most or craziest facial hair, anyone who participates and raises over $25 will receive a fun, cool, black MO for November t-shirt. We also have a $100 Visa gift card to the top individual fundraiser and anyone who donates $25 or more will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Visa gift card.
We team up with Crowdrise, an online fundraising platform, and we encourage all participants and groups to sign up. We are very happy to help you set up a group or individual page or if you have any questions. If online fundraising isn’t for you, we also gladly welcome cash donations. You can simply donate on the Crowdrise page using the button or join or create a team using the button. Please also share on your Facebook page by clicking the button.
We have been honored to have members of local police and fire departments participate in the past. We welcome your group to join us this year, and encourage some ‘healthy’ competition between organizations! This is a great way to promote some fun, friendly competition within your group.
Let’s work together to help fight prostate cancer!
