CentraState foundation awards scholarships

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — The CentraState Healthcare Foundation recently awarded scholarships to three young women who were contestants in CentraState's 50th Anniversary Celebration Ball Queen Contest. In addition, the CentraState Healthcare Foundation awarded scholarships to young people who aspire to work in the health care field and to employees who are continuing their education.
CentraState brings back tradition of Ball Queen

The CentraState Healthcare Foundation is reviving a tradition from days gone by and bringing back a Ball Queen Contest this year in honor of the 50th anniversary of its Charity Ball. The queen contestants are asked to raise money for CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. For every dollar each contestant raises, a vote is cast. The contestant who receives the most votes at the end of the contest will be crowned Ball Queen.
New timeline tells history of hospital

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — CentraState officials unveiled a timeline exhibit at the hospital tracing the founding and growth of CentraState Healthcare System over the last five decades at a ceremony on May 4. They were joined by current and former hospital Trustees, employees and physicians, public officials, civic leaders, community volunteers and other guests. The 84-foot long exhibit is located in the walkway that connects CentraState Medical Center to the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus.
Adventure to Health Diabetes Prevention Program

Novo Nordisk is helping to build a future for the Adventure to Health Diabetes Prevention Program. Grant funds were received from Novo Nordisk and will will be used to expand the program nationwide and translate all material into Spanish.
After hosting a book sale during their lunch hour, the Student Council of Wemrock Brook School donated remaining books to the children in the Pediatrics Department at CentraState.
NJ Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative

Grant funds will be used to support CentraState Medical Center's goal to become the first Baby-friendly hospital in New Jersey. Specifically, the funds will assist in the completion of the remaining three phases of the rigorous four phase process which need to be completed before CentraState can be designated a Baby-friendly hospital.
