The Foundation received a $20,000 grant from Wakefern ShopRite LPGA for the brain training program for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease (PD). These classes help prevent and/or improve cognitive dysfunction and provide opportunities for social interaction with others who are living with similar challenges. Through virtual, interactive classes, participants will learn compensatory strategies and techniques in areas including name and word recall, improving focus and attention, improving organization skills, improving processing speed, simple strategies to improve reading speed and reading comprehension, and extending independence and cognitive reserve.
