Funding to support the Comprehensive Cancer Center:
Linking cancer Care with Survivor Care
Freehold, NJ – CentraState Healthcare System has been awarded $60,000 for the Comprehensive Cancer Center by OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River. The grant will provide support to CentraState’s strategic objective of creating a regional, destination cancer center which will consist of the following components:
- Breast Cancer Center
- Cancer Navigator Program
- Cancer Survivorship Training
- Colorectal Cancer Center
- Genetic Counseling
- Lung Cancer Center
- Melanoma & Skin Cancer Center
- Palliative Care Program
- Prostate Cancer Center
- Proton Therapy
- Radiation Therapy Center Expansion
Over the years OceanFirst Foundation has support CentraState Healthcare System with over $325,000 in grants towards the expansions of the Radiation Therapy Center and Emergency Department and Rehabilitation Center. “We are exceptionally grateful to OceanFirst for their generosity and support for this and other important projects over the past several years. Their strong commitment to the vision behind the new Comprehensive Cancer Center will surely encourage other potential donors to become part of this exciting project,” said Roman N. CentraState Healthcare System is a nonprofit community health organization consisting of an acute-care hospital, three senior living centers, a health education and activities center, a family medicine residency program, and a charitable foundation. It is a member of the Robert Wood Johnson Health Network and a clinical research affiliate of The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
