Community Advisory Council

The CentraState Community Advisory Council, established by the CentraState Healthcare System Board of Trustees in 1999, is charged with determining, analyzing, and recommending responses to the health-related needs of the communities we serve. Originally focused on geographic concerns, the Council transitioned in 2002 into several "issues-related" committees.
The Council and its committees are taking a leadership role in addressing the following issues:
  • Aging in Place – includes the Telecare Connections project which is developing a web-based disease management program
  • Health Career Planning – collaborative partnership with the Freehold Area Regional High School Districts's medical sciences program providing students with hands-on learning opportunities at the CentraState Medical Center
  • Freehold Borough – a geographic effort addressing unique community health issues
  • Student Health – addresses health issues relating to school-age youngsters
The Council is under the auspices of the CentraState Healthcare Foundation, and is chaired by Arthur Kondrup, President, Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce.
