The CentraState Healthcare Foundation is pleased to once again hold its annual golf outing at the distinguished Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. Just 45 minutes from CentraState Medical Center and seconds off of Route 78, Fiddler’s Elbow in Bedminster is home to one of the state’s best golf courses, as well as a historic clubhouse and outstanding facilities.
Interestingly, Fiddler’s property is divided between Somerset and Hunterdon Counties by the winding and twisting waters of the Lamington River, a branch of the Black River. It was this water way that gave Fiddler’s its most unique name. During a town meeting it was noticed that the south spot of the existing clubhouse marked “Fiddler’s Elbow”. Sure enough, at this point the Lamington made a bend resembling the arm of a man playing a fiddle.
The proceeds from the 2010 Band Aid Open will be designated to the Student Health Awareness Center in the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus. The Center is the only one of its kind in the state by making learning fun and discovery exciting. The center educates approximately 16,000 New Jersey students annually through more than 50 innovative, age-appropriate programs. These programs cover a range of critical topics including substance awareness, family life, general health, and character education.
The CentraState Healthcare Foundation, a 501c3 organization, raises, invests and distributes funds in support of CentraState Medical Center. Thank you in advance for your gift to the Foundation.
